This page is the gate, written down in public. Ruby will not deliver care, prescribe, or charge anyone until the commitments below are real. The search is underway now, and this page is where its status lives.
What the gate covers
Founding equity, not advisory seats
Black women clinicians hold founding equity with operational authority over clinical policy. An advisory board photo is not leadership, and it does not open this gate.
An OB/GYN medical director who knows fibroids
The medical director role is reserved for a board-certified OB/GYN with documented fibroid management experience. Fibroid-first care is the whole point; the person setting clinical policy has to have lived it professionally.
A dermatologist for CCCA
Central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia is a separate specialty problem. A general prescriber network cannot cover it honestly, so the hair program waits for a dermatologist with CCCA experience.
Named clinicians, with credentials and states
At launch, the people seeing patients are named on this site with their credentials and licensure states. Until a name is real and agreed, it does not appear. There is no team page today because there is no team today.
What we refuse
- The celebrity-face template: a famous name fronting a general prescriber network. This audience recognizes that move on sight, and it deserves better.
- Dismissal-in-medicine messaging from a company without Black clinical leadership. If the gate never opens, Ruby stays an education property and says so.
- Fake momentum: invented team pages, stock portraits, placeholder bios, or borrowed credentials. None of that appears here, at any stage.
Where the search stands
Status: search underway
No clinical co-founder has signed today, and no clinician is affiliated with Ruby today. When that changes, the names, credentials, and licensure states appear on this page and nowhere sooner. If you are a Black woman OB/GYN, dermatologist, or midlife-focused clinician and any of this sounds like yours to lead, the introduction form is short.

The guides are free now. The care comes after the gate.
